Servitium Christi : Ceremony of Commitment On Saturday, 2nd August 2003, feast day of St Peter Julian Eymard, Maurine Phelan made her first Commitment as a member of the Eucharistic Lay Institute called 'Servitium Christi'.
The ceremony took place during the celebration of the Eucharist, presided over by Fr Laurie Sullivan SSS (Spiritual Director). Maurine was joined by members of her family and other friends, and formally welcomed into the Institute by Mary Williams and Tina Lazzaro. The ceremony was followed by afternoon tea in the Pastoral Centre at St Francis' Church, Melbourne.
